I'm not going to be too critical of Ken; he did use a spellchecker, after all.

No, that's planecents.com. I'm sure that they swiped it from the owner of plaincents.net, who has the much more desirable .net TLD.

And then there's stuff you can't make up, which is why I'm going to move some of this to another category, shortly.

A Masters Degree in "Business Taxation?" Yeah, that would be my first choice for Mayor. These websites are painful.

OMG! Kick the last half of this thread over to strategy before somebody gets miffed. That site was funny as hell. Thanks Joel.

Jesums, I'm still laughing. The guy does carry classes, drills bowling balls, bail bonding, sells some sort of amsoil (whatever the hell that is), teaches guitar, scuba, etc.

That's good stuff. I'm gonna feel really bad if it's somebody from here.

Joe Penaz* isn't somebody from here, but, yeah, he's not exactly "on the job."

_____________
* His name is right up near the top of the website. Kinda like the warning label.

Gee, I don't know...kind of looking forward to visiting twincityscarry.net (read twincity-scarry)

They say you need to read something til the end to get to the good stuff...in this case it was worth it!

These are sites designed to trick you away from me why? Because they can't compete any other way! Why does he need to resort to this? Is this the kind of guy you want to train you?

Ripoff Report Verified Safe

This guy advertises himself as the 'cheapest' conceal & carry instructor in the state, and I guess he's right. A buddy of mine talked me and two other friends into doing this class with him because of the price (it was just under sixty bucks), and we were 'treated' to just about hours (including breaks) of his rambling, incoherent stories, and then were signed off to get our C&C permits for MN and Utah, although I don't know what Utah has to do with it. (We all live in MN.)

He kept talking about how he was giving us 'the basics,' and kept ducking questions that we had about the law. Like when my buddy asked him if we would be able to carry our guns at the Excel Center in St. Paul (we go to a lot of concerts) he chattered for about ten minutes and couldn't give us a yes or a no, and then when my buddy called him on his shit he said that he'd been training by some law professor as though we gave a shit about who 'trained' him, and then didn't answer the question, although we did learn that he thinks its cool to brag to guys about how many times he's cheated on his wife.

He did try to sell us a bunch of stuff, though. Bowling balls, floor polishes, holsters, and some sort of nutritional supplements and tried to talk my other buddy into buying some sort of 'dealership' from him for that.

I don't think he's a ripoff artist. Just a moron who doesn't know anything but will try to sell everything.

Ow ow ow ow ow. Yeah, you warned me.

I'm amused how he bashes you on one page, yet touts you on the resource page...

I remember the first time I saw his flyers at Gunstop. As soon as I saw "MACHINE GUN DEMO!!!!!" I dropped it like a hot potato.

I did. Not my fault, you know.

As much as I want to, I can't quite fault Joe for sending his students to me for post-class support; I think it's in their interest, and his, albeit not mine, for me to help them out. (I try to avoid doing that anymore. I think I have an obligation to help out the folks who took my class, of course, but I don't remember signing up as a resource for Joe's students. Maybe I'm forgetful; I dunno.)

Oh, come on -- don't you see the importance of watching a guy shoot a machine gun and not shooting his dog in a carry class? A carry class without a machine gun shoot is like one without bowling balls, or dessert toppings, or nutritional supplements (can you imagine carrying a handgun without taking your mango?), or a fish without a bicycle.
