gyrfalcon, other than feeling uncomfortable how was shady lanes as a place to shoot? BPR and Bill's aren't the closest places and a nice outdoor range closer would be nice.

When I attended his class he had a mandatory waiver he wanted filled out. From the way I read it, he or any of the class could shot me they would not be held liable.

FWIW, all my students sign a similar waiver to that.

As with most parking punch tickets, valet tickets, etc, they're 'supposedly' mostly unenforceable. The waiver is mostly for the benefit of 'feeling good' to the proprietor of said establishment. If a valet damages my truck, you better believe they'll be paying for it...

I never went into the club house, but other than that it's just a large lane with a dirt birm surrounded by trees.

Is it really needed? I've joined a number of gun ranges that don't have you sign a waiver like that.

I really don't need to carry a gun most days, but I do. That being said the gun may or may not help in any given circumstance. Hopefully the gun or the waiver will work as a deterrent more than anything. Hopefully. 8)

I'm distressed -- saddened, I say, saddened -- to tell you that Penaz has taken down his, err, differently clued links to his deceptive sites.

There are times when reaching your intended result can be depressing … primarily because it negates maintaining the rage.

Nah. He's maintained the hissy fit websites at twincitiescarry.net/info/us/biz/gurgle, et al., but, for some reason or other, he's taken down the links to them from planecents.net .

The Glencoe Lodge is a great setting for a class! Surrounded by Moose and deer mounts as well as an Eagle mount.
The dead animals impart their wisdom on students, so the students can become, um, Native American gurus like Chuck Norris -

The unsuspecting stranger,
Had better know the truth of wrong from right,

'Cause the eyes of a ranger are upon you,
Any wrong you do, he's gonna see,

When you're in Texas, look behind you,

'Cause that's where the rangers gonna be.

 Ahhh, my eyes!! Oh noes So should I offer to fix his websites for cash or is he chasing off customers into my friend's classes?
