Still don't think I'll sign up for their class anytime soon. :bang:

Lame? Paraphrase: "There is no such thing as safety (putting on scientists hat) . . . and that is a scientific fact." ". . . and even if you come to the 179' 30" point they freak out."

Not only does this "gentleman" dismiss safety concepts, he labels those that do strive to maintain a high degree of safety as "freaking" out.

It is not often that we get to witness, in fairly high definition video, a purported expert soil himself so thoroughly. "Hate" mail indeed.

You mean the one that states you are normally born with the correct number of them, and adding to that number via high-speed metal objects may negatively impact your health?

Mark Luell (assuming this is the owner of the training facility, or whoever the guy is) has filed a copyright claim and has had this video removed. I thought it was "safe and controlled" ?! What a joker...

From their FAQ (emphasis mine):

Quote:
Are your courses “certified”?
This is an odd question for us. Certified by whom? Our company is backed by professional liability insurance and is as “certified” as anyone else. One thing is certain though and that is you will be a certified badass after our class!

You know, I've met very few people I'd consider to be serious operators. The one thing that the pros normally have is a sense of humility about their skills.

There's a rule I remember from training a long time ago, attributed to Marc MacYoung. Anybody who tells you how bad they are and how much they're going to hurt you isn't anyone to be afraid of. It's the ones who go quiet when the tension kicks up that you have to watch out for. Those are the pros. I believe Marc's saying was, "You done gone and treed a bad one."

Maybe if someone sets up a dummy e-mail account with a fictitious name (do you really want your name used as a quote for such tomfoolery?) the gentleman who removed it or owner of the company would send it to a person who "praises" the technique and thinks it's "F'n AWESOME, MAN!!!"
