Besides restricted by law premises, so what if a store puts up a no guns allowed sign? If they see a gun, they ask you to leave. Big deal Most here carry concealed anyways, and the stores never even know you're carrying to begin with. Seems like the signs have no effect |

Personally, it's a matter of priniciple. I don't go so far as to research every company I make purchases from to see what their politics are and if I want my retail dollars going towards supporting ideals I don't agree with. However, if I have a choice, I would rather not support a company that has is posted. National Camera is a great example. I wouldn't mind spending a few more dollars supporting a local business that allows me to stop in and fondle the cameras before I buy, but some of the stores are posted, so I take my business elsewhere. |

This could just be me: It sounds like you are mixing two concepts together. 1. Restricted by law - Places that are offlimits, as written into the law. 2. Businesses that are posted. Obviously there is no debate on #1, it is flat out against the law. In #2 a business has the legal right to post and ask you to leave if they do not want you there. While you cannot ignore the LAW, you can ignore the SIGNS. JimC, this philisophical debate has been discussed, and is discussed at least once a month. Do a search and you will find some good discussion. I think people are bored with this topic now, so you might not get as good of discussion as you may want. |

I certainly hope I didn't give the wrong tone in my post. The thread can stay, you can ask more questions. In fact, please do. I was trying to bring previous discussions to your attention. Everyone will probably learn more by previous discussions than new ones because of people being bored with the topic and what not. |

The speed limit signs also say 55 MPH or 45 or 30 or 70. Does it make it right that everyone tries to push it 5-10 MPH over the limit? The law allows it. As I state in my class. The legal doesn't always make the logical. But then again, some will just do what they want regardless of what society says it wants done. |

You would be breaking the law as much as speeding. "What if" all you want. If it is illegal to do something, you are as wrong to just ignore it because you don't like the law as a burglar or worse. |

You are only breaking the law when you have been asked to comply with signs(or legal notification of policy), and refuse to comply. What would be pushing it is waiting for the cops to show up to give you the ticket. Which, by the way, the only way to prove you were breaking the law is for the request for compliance to be witnessed by a police officer. |
