New here, so hi to everybody. Haven't been back there in a long time, but the last time I was as REI, they had a sign on their front door. But like I said, haven't been back in a while, so not sure if anybody can confirm or deny!

REI Roseville did not have one when I was last in. so it may be an individual store

the Maple Grove store has a sign but it doesn't follow the MN rules. What do you expect out of those tree huggers.
This fall I got a guy in dreads all red faced, he was helping me with some climbing gear and was trying to make sure I got everything i would need, so I told him that i thought I had what i needed all I was going to do was string up some deer in the pole barn. He got pissed he didn't say anything but his face betrayed him it was all blotchy red. I chucked as i said welcome to Minnesota then walked towards the register.

Was just there this week, had to pick up a water bottle, decided to look at the Gerber flashlights. They now have one that will take your choice of AA, AAA, or CR123!

Anyways, back on subject.
REI Roseville is NOT posted, as of 2008.12.29.
Not even incorrectly. No signs of any sort.
So I keep mah membership :-D

Maple Grove REI:

So silly, especially considering they carry knives, bear spray, etc. Oh well, looks like Cabella's gets all my future business.

Being as I am the calm, confrontational type...

I might get quite a bit of enjoyment asking the GM if, based on the sign, I would get arrested if I purchased a knife, then proceeded to open the package before I left the building.

Things that make you say hmmmmmm???.........

It said "dangerous" weapons. Since we a lawfully permitted and trained to carry them, I would say that so long as they remain in our hands, they aren't "dangerous". The "danger" comes when someone tries to take them...

Something about the no-smoking sign right above the no-weapon sign strikes me as funny!

Was there on Saturday, no sign. I was quite surprised as the place is full of (no offense) granolas.
