Kenwood Elementary School and the Kenwood Community Center are at two ends same building, with a gym in between.

The door to the gym is posted. The door to the Community Center is not. The door between the Community Center and the gym is not.

It appears that the gym is shared between the Community Center and the school.

Questions for the class:

1. Does the posting on the school door have any legal force?

2. Would a posting on the Community Center door have any legal force?

3. Is permitted carry in the gym legal during school hours?

4. Is permitted carry in the gym legal not during school hours?

5. What is the likelihood that the legality of permitted carry in the gym during non-school hours would make a difference during an encounter with the Minneapolis Police?
