Hennepin County Library Brooklyn Park is posted, sort of. Sign says they "Ban Dangerous Weapons", but at the bottom of the sign, it clearly states "This Ban does not apply to Law Abiding Permit Holders persuant to statute". Not exact wording but the intent is clear. I will get a pic if I remember next time I am there. So, bottom line is, although a Hennepin County Building, permit holders are not discouraged from carrying...I like it.

I have just seen other "County Buildings" that were posted so I thought this was a good thing

Unless the other county buildings were schools or courthouses, they'd better not be posted as banned.

Also, they most certainly do "discourage permit holders from carrying", they just can't bar them from doing so, to their eternal chagrin.

Doug,

Just wanted to say thanks again for sticking your neck out and getting that sign changed. I used you as an example to my daughter what one sometimes has to do to get government to follow the law. She is almost 18 now, but she still giggles when we walk past those signs in the library.
