Sad to say I was visiting the American Legion in Savage and they have a a sign at each of the doors.

Sucks to be them. I hope all permit holders ban them in turn. And maybe a few hundred drop in long enough to drop off a "No Guns, No Business" card

Wow. Out of all of the places that would sign, the Americal Legion is one of the last ones I would expect to put one up. If I had to guess, I would say that this is simply one guys opinion and he's the one to put up the sign. In fact, I'm willing to bet that if one were to walk into that place and poll all of those sitting in there who fought for our country, that you'd get a much different answer.

That's interesting, considering that this particular post has been in danger of closing its doors every since the smoking ban. I would think they'd welcome all potential customers. I may have to drop by this weekend, as if stopping for lunch, then talk to the manager and explain why I'm going around the corner to Neisen's instead.

I'm willing to take that bet. In my experience it's a 50/50 chance of a (older) vet being (really) pro-gun, to the point of carrying "in a bar" [whether the person is drinking or not].
