I was shopping at Seven Seas yesterday, across the street from Bennett's lumber yard (28th and Dupont), and noticed they were posted.

Too bad, they're otherwise a nice place, and I like to give my business to non-big box retailers when I can. Oh well.

Too bad, it's a good lumber yard and I've done quite a bit of business there in the past.

I guess I'll have to go to Hiawatha Lumber, also good, or the Depot from now on!

Come on you got to support Menards at least. It's a MN company and you can "Save big money at Menards." I do. :)

you've never compared prices/quality with home depot apparently ;) Plus I hate all the rebates menards has.. they have gotten away from that some, but still annoying..

I've done quite a bit of business with Hiawatha Lumber and I've always been happy with the quality of the lumber and wood products.

I stopped by the other day and they are NOT posted!

I worked at Menards for 7 or 8 months.

I shop at Home Depot.

Not sure about the "save big money" part, but unless I'm sadly mistaken, Menards is based in Wisconsin.

From their website, the general offices are in Wisconsin.

For a while (at least) they were making the (bad) commercials at KMSP in Eden Prairie. It was done on really old tape (on purpose).

I don't remember who told me this: They don't even use email at the headquarters.

I've read elsewhere (live journal) that Bennets is no longer posting. Haven't confirmed it myself.

Does anyone out there no for sure?

Bennet has been sold to new owners and has changed it's name to Remodelers Choice.

I stopped in there a month or so ago, when they were still posted, and asked if the new owners were going to take down the sign. They said it wasn't a priority. I replied that it was their choice but that they were listed here, and that there were quite a few people, including me, that wouldn't buy there if they were posted.

I went by there yesterday and the posting was gone. I went in and asked and they smiled and said yes it's gone.

I think people should go in and thank them and buy something, I'll be going back since they're pretty good and very handy with the selection and location.
