My P226 tags along every Sunday to our little country church. I know for a fact that that I am not alone in doing so.

My pastor requested that I carry (concealed) my P229 to every service. He has a P225 that, AFAIK, he carries everywhere. Cool guy.

Quite simply, because you never know when a gun-wielding psycho might walk in the door and start blasting away.

Excellent. 8) Quite frankly, I can't imagine such a request at our rural church. I carry in church, but only a very few people know I carry and fewer know I do it in church. I don't know what the attitude about armed self defense is there, so I'm keeping it as under the radar as possible.

My Paster has requested that I carry at the services that have especially large collections, such as Easter, etc. :D
