Of all places, I would think that this type of organization would understand what the Constitution is all about.

700 W County Road C
Roseville, MN

The signage looked proper. However, it was about six feet inside the front entrance and on a side wall not facing towards the outside. No other entrance appeard to be posted.

Who they are:(Because I didn't know.)

Their preamble
Quote:
To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism
should read, we are a bunch of old snobs who only think "our" war counts and we want our bennies. I dropped from the legion and VFW a long time ago due to their attitudes.

I belong to MPLS/Richfield Legion Post 435 and I can assure you all Legion Posts aren't created equal. Post 435 has a 500+ member Gun Club south of Lakeville (I serve on their BOD) and we have recruited members from other, less than gun friendly Posts.

Plus, you have a great location for those of us who play hockey right across the parking lot to celebrate a win.

I understand the part about not all legion posts being created equal, does that mean Legion post 435 is NOT posted. I'm familiar with a number of Legion posts and they are all posted.l

I called the national HQ on this a while back. They stated it's up to the individual posts to decide what to do.

I brought up that these signs were inconsistent with the Legion's philosiphies, but they held firm on their position that it's the post commander's responsibility, not theirs.

I do my CCW classes in a Legion hall (not posted) and have never had any issues.

Rip, I'm the Scout Master at troop 262 in Richfield. Your post used to let us camp on the adjoining land and use the rifle and skeet ranges once a year. It really was a great facility and much appreciated. (Of course, after a change in post leadership a few years back we're not welcome anymore, but hey we appreciated it while it was offered and are appreciative for what we were given).

Ry4an,
I serve on he Gun Club's Board of Directors and this is the first time I've heard of a scout troop not being welcome at our facility.

Please email or pm me with more information about this and I'll see if I can get to the bottom of this.
