Practice this 100 times: "Cel phone!"

Make it seconds nature, and you'll never hesitate again.
It occurs to me, from time to time, that me being about as out as a permit holder gets has certain advantages as well as disadvantages; there's certain questions that just don't come up, and certain issues that are already settled.

How about saying "Pest Repellant", technically accurate, yet to the casual eavesdropper non-alarming.

Depends. What if your wife finds out your girlfriend has a permit? In some situations, that could be awkward.

Worse yet, if they both have a permit and find out about each other, it might be......

Geez. Where do you find one of those? I have not yet been so fortunate. Guess going to school (aka anti-gun training corps / breeding ground) doesn't help.

Somehow, this thread drift reminded me of some lyrics of a Bobby Darin song from 1964--"Goodbye, Carlie"

Don't you know lechery
Leads you to treachery
Things boomerang
Someone you trifle with
Pulls out a rifle without a pang
Bang... bang... bang!

Just like the post office (and federal buildings?), if they cite the law it looks more official. Even if the the sign itself is illegal in the first place (in this case).

I could make something up like "No dogs allowed per S624.714". Of course 624.714 doesn't have anything to do with dogs, but housewives will believe it and spread the word.
