You're right. How about for the April breakfast? looks like April 14th.

I like the Idea. Discreet open carry (everyone take off their jacket after being seated). But, they don't call the BPPD "Setter's SS" for nothing. Expect to eat a little carpet.

Oh jeez - I wouldn't go that far. I'm just talking about applying leverage at the usual Archimedean tipping point for businesses - the cash drawer.

It's a nice below-the-radar way for us to help them reflect and ask themselves "Is this sign helping us or hurting us?"

The key will be that we really intend to go and be ready to spend a bunch of money if they actually take the sign down.

Spend a bunch of money eating in a hotel, especially that one?
No brainer- they don't give away anything at most hotel restaurants.
And this place is there to cater primarily to business- who expense all that stuff anyway. Bet their prices are right up there.

If the hotels really thought this out, they could encourage carry at their establishments, and put ammo in the honor bars. You know, a box of 5 .45acp rounds for $12.00 or something like that. They could set it right next to the $8 Oreo six pack. Or the $3 can of soda.

Actually, the normal date for the April breakfast would be the 21st, which is the third Saturday.

this second / third saturday stuff has me stymied :-) Just when I get it down, we'll move it so the cycle club can meet (I don't blame you for that :-))

So, 3rd Saturday is the norm until Cycle season where 2nd Sat is the time?

The northland inn is NOT CHEAP. Expect good, but expensive food.

The breakfast buffet was an all you can eat deal. Something around $10 IIRC.

(Then again - I said the place was about 20 miles from where it actually is. YRMV)

I'd say the 14th sounds like a fine date for breakfast. We can all gather and warm up our open carry skills for High Noon at the capitol .

OK - I checked with "she who paid for it" and the Sat AM breakfast buffet was $12 a head - really a pretty good deal. They had two long steam tables of food and a cook making custom omelets. Drinks were included. The coffee was great.

They also had a ton of seating room.
