It has a sign banning firearms, ammunition, and various other things such as food. No searches and a few cops there too. Since the city of St. Paul owns it is moot.

Actually, if the Saints are renting the stadium from the city, then they are allowed to post it during their events. They would have to do it compliantly, of course.

Can we get more information, did the sign say midway stadium bans guns or the St. Paul Saints ban guns?

I'm just down the road... I'll try to take a picture with my camera phone today after work but I'll have to upload it later tonight as I will be without a computer for the evening.

Ok... I got some pictures but I have no way of uploading them as I left my usb mini cord at home.

Here is what the sign said...

"SAINTS
Midway Stadium policy prohibits and outside food or beverages being brought into the ballpark, including cans, bottles, coolers, or bags of any kind.

Also prohibited are any potentially dangerous itemsor hazardous materials, including all firearms, ammunitions, explosives or hazardous substances.

Neckties are also prohibited and management reserves the right to confiscate them on sight.

In Addition, Please note that Midway is still a No Wave Zone

Thank You"

I carried at the game yesterday and meant to look for the signs. I didn't see any casually, but I guess I could've missed them. There were a few officers in my section, but I carried IWB so no real chance of hassle. Photos?

Also:
"Neckties are also prohibited and management reserves the right to confiscate them on sight."

WHAT? Are they joking around, or am I missing something?

The Saints are known for joking around, hence their prohibition on this symbol of seriousness. Tongue in cheek, folks.

Oh, thanks Mike. So how serious do you think they are about us Permit to Carry folks? (non-compliant posting and such)

Also, let's say for instance that one of St. Paul's finest saw a glimpse of my S&W yesterday at the game and besides asking for my permit, asked me to leave. Would they have needed an appropriate representative of the Saint's Ball Club? (I realize that there can be a difference between the letter of the law and what LEO's 'order' in reality. I know, "don't argue on the street." But what should happen?)

Are the cops cops or acting as paid security?
