Broke my heart...this is my favorite resturaunt in the Twin Cities. The illegal sign is posted on your left, just inside the door. I am not sure when it went up, but I have gone there regularly and have not noticed it before.

Here is their phone #:

(651) 293-9111

Their website also has an email form you can send a comment on.

Here is an email I sent them.

Hi,
I rather regretfully want to let you folks know that although I have been a regular customer of yours for the past 20 years I will no longer support your establishment. I saw yesterday that your business was posted as not allowing guns on the premesis. Being a survivor of a violent attack I took steps to ensure my own safety. I took classes and became certified by the FBI, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Hennipen County Sheriffs office to carry a weapon for my own personal protection. With your posting of that sign I see I am no longer welcome at your establishment. I think that is a pity.
Regards,
Mike *****

IMHO "certified" is the wrong word for these agencies role in the application process.

It think its a matter of semantics with the wording. I didn't want to have be too long winded, and certified met my needs. According to the American Heritage Dictionary.

VERB:
cer·ti·fied , cer·ti·fy·ing , cer·ti·fies
VERB:
tr.

To confirm formally as true, accurate, or genuine.
To guarantee as meeting a standard: butter that was certified Grade A. See Synonyms at approve.
To acknowledge in writing on the face of (a check) that the signature of the maker is genuine and that there are sufficient funds on deposit for its payment.
To issue a license or certificate to.
To declare to be in need of psychiatric treatment or confinement.
Archaic To inform positively; assure.
