Post subject:  TCC Breakfast for March

Since there appears to be a large contingency of members, lurkers, etc. herein, that reside in the north and north-east, would it be worth consideration to have an alternate site in or near the 694-35 area?

I live in Golden Valley so either place is about equidistant for me.

PJ's is closer to Gunstop which makes it more dangerous for me. :D

We have had good luck with PJ's but I am open to just about anywhere.

There should be one more option "Yes, both are equally convenient".

That'd be my vote.

It would definitely be closer for me (around 15 mins. as opposed to 40 or so), but I'm good with whatever the group decides on.

I DO know of a restaurant in Granite Falls. We usually end our Deer Season get together there. That's about a 3 hr drive from Ramsey, perhaps a little less. They don't ban guns there, at least as of last November.

I have wanted to attend ever since joining this forum at old dude and phorvick's reference to this site. My scheduling has been restrictive to the 45-50 minutes it wouldtake me to get to EP. The suggested intersection would be 10-12 so I would definitely be eager to attend.

The Coffee Cup on Rice Street south of HWY 36 is the best breakfast in St Paul and would be a great location for a meeting. It is also a short drive to Joe's Sports Shop! :D

Anoka to EP isn't that bad on a Saturday, it's just I work about half of the weekends each month. The 17th and 31st are out for me.

Steve and I actually started this as a North Side thing. As the group grew, we started moving around. We settled on Pastrami Jack's because of how well we have been treated there. We've also been to Curran's in south Minneapolis a couple of times, but their hospitality hasn't been stellar.

The problem we have is that Saturday mornings are prime-time for restaurants and if you're going to call ahead and reserve seating for a group, they want to know how many are coming. That's something that we never really know with any degree of accurancy. PJ's has been very flexible in that area. That being said, I certainly don't object to going someplace else. I live on the North Side as well, so something closer to home would be fine with me. We just need to keep in mind the logistics of our group, and of the restaurant so everybody is happy.

It was my perception that the breakfasts were going to be rotated throughout the metro in an effort to NOT leave people out. Actually, I think we're leaving out the "outstaters" quite a bit by keeping them to the metro. I DO realize that a good majority of us live close to the metro.
