the dreaded reply:

It will be for POST-certified, active LEO's only with current credentials.

Unfortunately, it is out of Streicher's hands: Range Systems had to have the permit issued by the city of Plymouth - and Plymouth is issuing this requirement.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

Streicher's

Last year one of my fellow Reserve Officers (Not POST certified) shot several different Glocks there.

Now that I think about it, that might have been a Glock sponsored event.

Past years if I remember right, the mobile range was supplied by Glock, at least that is what it said on it. Since only LEO's can buy Glocks from Steichers, the range may have been restricted to Glock's and LEO's.

This year there was a different name on the mobile range, so maybe it was open to the general public.

Plymouth has a gun range built by public funds in the lower level of the Fire Station on Dunkirk Lane. Not available to Plymouth residents only leo, mmmm.

The Mayor should be asked why. I paid, and excluded.

I was going to say that! :)

Oh well. I'll go anyway, just to eat & shop, since it's right down the road from my work.

From the PDF:

Last year "SheepDogs" counted as public safety. I'm guessing that if anyone else loiters there as much as I do that they'll feed you and maybe even let you "slip on by" and into the range trailer.
