Northrop Auditorium is posted, even though it's definitely property of the State of Minnesota (via the Regents of the University of Minnesota). Plus, the U has a ridiculously draconian weapon policy, which has been discussed on this forum ad nauseam. So if you're neither a student (like me) nor employee (staff or faculty), the U has no legal recourse should you legally carry a firearm on campus. If, however, we consider that the auditorium is being leased from the U as a landlord, I'm a member of the student organization sponsoring the event, and we're not at all worried about law-abiding citizens exercising their constitutional rights.

Walking around the U or Minneapolis at night w/o at least one firearm? Oh boy.

The presentation was really good. It was basicly about how a free market without government rules and regulations generally self regulate and do a better job than government regulations could ever do.

Am I correct that that was Andrew who posed the question about carry on campus? (I was in the 3rd row, poor lighting)
