Post subject:  Free contest to win a range bag

I put this under Other Events because I thought it was an event.

Joel said it was OK, so this is what River Valley Training would like to do for the forum members. We would like to give away a free Galati range bag to one of the forum members. Here is a link to the Galati web site.

http://www.galatiinternational.com/Merc ... hooterbags

A few years ago Galati had a sale on their Mini Range Bag and I bought 2 of them, have and still do use one, but took the other and put it in a safe place in my gear closet. It is new, but it does have some white marks on it from what I believe is from being pushed around and rubbing the inside wall of a white closet. This is nothing major and after a couple of trips to the range will mean nothing, but as I said, it is as new and unused.

It is their Mini Range Bag, which is now discontinued and no longer listed on their web site. Two side compartment that will hold a full sized pistol in each, in fact I put a full sized 1911 and a Colt Defender in one side and store small misc. like rain poncho, stapler and staples, bug repellent, sun lotion, etc. in the other. The main compartment is large enough to hold a few hundred rounds of ammo, holster, several magazines and magazine holder, hearing protection, belt, etc. For a trip to the range, this will hold everything that you will need, but maybe too small for the competition shooter at a state match, but I did use my other one and get by, but who cares, this is a free contest for all forum members.

OK, now the rules -

1. To enter you must have been a member of this forum by the start of the free contest, so that would be 21:00 central time on June 7th. This free contest is for all forum members, moderators, administrators and owner, everyone that wants to enter and are a forum member before the free contest started can make their guess. :)

2. The contest will run for 15 days and end at 24:00 central time on June 22nd. At that time River Valley Training will not accept any more guesses as valid.

3. To enter, members will pick a number between 1 and 2000, post a reply to this thread with their forum name and what they think the winning number is. What is this number? Well to be fair, at least I thought, I asked my 16 year old son to pick a number between 1 and 2000, he blurted it out a number and that is the magic number that I wrote down on my desk pad and that is the number that you guys & gals have to pick.

4. Winner will be decided after the closing of the free contest on June 22nd. The first person picking and posting the magic number, or the person closest to the magic number without going over will be the winner.

5. All forum members will get one pick, if you post more than one, only your first will count, so don't bother to post twice, it is just a waste of time and won't count anyway. If two or more members pick the same number, the first time stamped posted number by a member will be the one considered the winner, so look at prior posts before you make your pick.

I http://www.rivervalleytraining are just trying to have a little fun and maybe we can drag some of the quiet and lurking forum members out of the woodwork. Joel told me to try to keep it simple, but I had to make some ground rules that I thought were fair and that everyone could understand.

So make your best guess and post a reply with your forum name and your magic number pick.

Good luck to all. 8)
