Normally I'd also be a little, oh I dunno, feeling out-of-place given you folks all seem to know each other and I'd be an outsider, but frankly everyone here seems extremely welcoming to new faces. I'll try taking a walk around the block to think about it
The interesting thing that I have found about this group is that how ever much bluster there is on the web, we are all pretty darn friendly face to face. I had not met many of the people who showed up last time and it was good to put handles to faces/names. And hey, shooting steel is SO much fun.

Will it be starting at 12:00 like the previous thread mentioned? Would it be ok to join in for a couple of hours...I have an engagement in the early evening.
For a new person to this sort of shooting event, any special things I should know?

Selurcspi,
Are these steel challenge stages?
I'm actually free that Saturday and thinking about showing up.

Keith,
SC stages need a large range each, so these four will fit ou our two, come out of my head and be 5 shot minimum (so members of the "Church of the appropriate revolver" can compete too), best 3 times to count.
We will also have a man v man for bragging rights afterwards.

Thanks.
I did find the other thread a few minutes ago that describes it and just so I understand, it is falling steel, correct? If it's falling steel I just need to bring the appropriate .38 loads.
I just have to decide which gun to shoot.
Would I be shunned if I showed up with a "race" holster and a revolver?
Although I really should try the new IDPA rig out I bought for the 686.

If I dig around I may find a real holster for the 625. Even my gamey major power factor .45 loads will take down steel no problem. Even if they're set heavy. As long as I do my part that is.
Decision. Decisions.
