For those who came in late, I had surgery yesterday to relieve the carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand.

It seems to have gone well, although, apparently unsurprisingly it has temporarily left part of my right ring finger and my right little finger numb -- probably from the swelling/other stuff from the surgery itself -- and my right wrist rather painful. (Percocet is great stuff.)

As promised, I've got enough use of my right hand to do a very limited amount of mousing and typing. If it wasn't for Dragon NaturallySpeaking, writing this much would have been horribly painful. As it is, no big deal; my mouth works just fine.

(Yes, you can insert the usual joke here.)

Thanks for asking.

If this was due to keying, then check out the following "Comfort Keyboard"...

This takes ALL of the stress off of your wrists and transfers it to your shoulders where the stress wears better. Yeah, it takes a little getting use to, but your wrists will thank you.

We wish you a speedy recovery. In your limited capacity, you probably still type faster than I do.

Naw, Joel just wanted some realistic weak-hand shooting practice. :)

Joel, let me know if you need to borrow a lefty holster!

Ooh, I was sorta assuming a lot of people were doing like me -- playing it safe & abstaining from voting. I mean it's none of my business! ;)
