And when I brought this matter to the attention of the state auditor's office (with specific examples like paying 'copy fees' in excess of 3 times what a new copier cost, and long distance costs which amounted to man-years of time on the telephone), their basic response was "whaddayawant <I>us</i> to do about it." When I asked who looked after the taxpayers' interests in matters like this, their response boiled down to "No one."

Yup, I would turn to any of the four if I needed a defense attorney. That said, Marc has been delivering a vigorous legal drubbing to Sheriff Fletcher on a somewhat regular basis.

I wish I could pretend you meant all of this in jest and that you just forgot to add in the laughing emoticon.

The irony of that may one day dawn on you. I think there's very few minor details Kimberman is not up to speed on regarding the carry law. He was in on the ground floor as they say :-)

I'm fully aware he had almost certainly seen the financial reportings. So much is lost in translation from spoken (in my head) conversation to written online text.

Perhaps I need to attend emoticons 101 or something. The sarcasm was clearly lost. Surely MN has a welfare program that will help me with that.

Hmm could this case (and Ramsey Co denial of permits) fall under "denial of civil rights under color of law"? Or have we gone over that bit already?

There are a couple anecdotal stories of people cooperating with the kindly deputy "just trying to help" you get their permit ... Turns out the deputy was "just trying to help" you give him a list he could keep expanding until he came up with something to deny you on ...
