I mean, if the RCSO is honest and sincere and has nothing to hide, there's no risk of what a covert camera rig will show, right ;-)

I too am from Ramsey county. I did call the number for scheduling an appointment and when I did the deputy said just to come in, that it was not required to make an appointment.

I got my renewal permit in less than 30 days by quite a margin. The sad truth is that I was worried even though I never even have had a parking ticket. All these bad stories about RCSO. I have no doubts they probably are true but I got through without any problems. There was no reason why I would have any problems. Not good to worry for no valid reason. I feel bad for those that do have them.

The rent a cop security people were kind of weird but all in all it worked out.

Yep. over 66% of applicants get their permits issued with little or no apparent problems.

I hereby offer my VERY covert video gear to any applicant who is willing to test the Ramsey County sheriff's office on several items.

Is it covert enough to get through their metal detectors? I'm perfectly happy to go in and attempt to do a new application with a copy of my certificate (no original) and without making an appointment.

Sure. It's already been quite successful. You see, it's made by Glock, so it's invisible to x-ray scanners. :)

Cool! So can it shoot down airplanes in flight and penetrate a bulletproof vest at 2 miles?
