St. Paul police are warning the public after three robberies in the area of Randolph Avenue and West Seventh Street last weekend.

The robbers approached as the victims walked to or from neighborhood businesses between 11 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday, police said. The suspects either pointed a handgun at the victims or said they had a gun and demanded money.

The men stole money and personal items and ran away, police said. The two robbers' descriptions in each case are similar, police said.

One man is described as black, 22 to 26 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 250 to 300 pounds and clean-shaven. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and blue jeans.

The other man is described as black, 20 to 24 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 200 pounds and clean-shaven. He was wearing a green shirt and blue jeans.

I hate that stuff. (Not the reporting thereof; the stuff.)

I hate to hear that sort of thing and so close to home as well!

It made me think of the situation in Florida at the Burger King where a man tried to rob the place and come to find out that one of the customers was conceal and carrying and shot the man dead. Unfortunately the CCW holder was shot several times as well and is in critical but stabile condition! Its too bad that he got shot and hope that he will not have life long porblems!!

Except in that case, at least according to the media reports, the CCW holder went up and confronted the robber and an argument ensued, and then quickly escalated.

My reaction was that a permit is not a Junior LEO license, and it might have been better for him to open up his cellphone rather than his mouth if he wanted to get involved.

The only businesses open at that time of night in that area are bars. I think the pizza place and subway close at 11. Always be mindful of your enviroment, even on a night on the town.

One of my favorite joints in the cities is there.

http://crshamrocks.net/shamrocks.htm makes a mighty fine burger, best burger I know of in MN, I'd venture to say. It makes me really sad to hear that is going on in Shamrock's neighborhood.

I agree, one of the best burgers in the state, and it certainly isn't unreasonable for me to be leaving there between 11pm and 2am after enjoying a beer and a few burgers with friends.
