I'd love to sell copies of the new one to folks who have first edition, but, truth to tell, I don't think they really need the update. Not like it's Masterton and Slowinsky.

Couldn't hurt to have a little blurb at the front/back of any newer editions saying something to that effect, and pointing to a forever-good address as to where to check current version, with info on picking up a newer copy if different from the one in their hands. (Ellegon or aacfi, for example)

It doesn't look like my local library system has it yet. (SELCO - covers 11 SE MN counties)

plblark wrote: requested in Ramsey County Cool; thanks. I'd ask the publisher to offer a free copy for each library -- I'd waive royalties; my guess is that they'd be receptive -- but I don't think library bureaucracies are set up to understand small gifts of that sort.

we could look into how free gifts are handled. I have several books that need a new home, I could gift one with them. But I'd be concerned that it wouldn't make it onto the shelves as part of a "used" book donation.
