A gun rep at a gun show in a gun shop, freaking out about seeing a person with a gun? Oh, my, I couldn't have made that up if I tried!

I mean, you'd EXPECT that from a Ruger rep...but Springfield?

It was packed on Saturday. We went after the Gopher Bar.. I ended up getting night sights for my gun. Puchased & installed in less than 10 minutes. :)

Yeah, that's right up there with a Springfield rep telling a customer their XD45 requires a 750 round break-in period, and that hollow point ammo is NOT recommended. What a bunch of clowns.

That's insane, How can someone from a gun company act like that??

The woman working at the Springfield table started freaking out after she saw someone OCing, which was pretty entertaining. She said it was 'scary' to see someone wandering around with a gun, since she was from Illinois. I reminded her that in MN, you pretty much only see the good guys with guns....and also (just to stir things up a bit), that there were probably 10 times as many people carrying concealed at the show. I didn't mention my trusty G17 and G26 ;-)[/quote]

If it was the woman I saw handling the paperwork...no.

We were told they weren't allowing ANY .357 Sig out on the range

Anybody know what the deal with that was, and will it be an ongoing thing at Bill's? Just wondering, I've got a couple of 357 Sig pistols.

Why would a gun range ban a specific brand of pistol? I might understand if they didn't like CZ-52's firing steel core ammo, but a .357? They rent .357's...

.357 Sig as in the cartridge. But it still doesn't make sense.

Around noonish that Saturday they ran out of .380 auto, not sure if they were able to restock during the event.

I was at Bill's on Sunday morning, 10AM to about 12:30. Crowd and shooting line moved along OK. I was able to try out about six 9mm and/or .40 cal in that time, shooting 30 to 50 rounds in each pistol, so about 20 minutes to a half hour per firearm. Each time the line was about as long as the counter but by 12:30 it was doubling back on itself to the main stairway. Bill's staff were efficient and I appreciate the opportunity.

I was at the Circle Pines range Sunday afternoon at around 330 - got a range slot at 4 and shot until 5.. Ammo stocks for the range looked pretty good - protection ammo in .40 and 9mm was low to empty.
