Just an argument here....What if you are DENIED on day 31 or day 32. The MCPPA 2003/2005 provides that on day 30 you are granted a permit but on day 31 or 32 a DENIAL letter arrives??

Too little too late?

Are you already a permitee? Is it TOO LATE for them to deny you?

That's my reading. They have 30 days to deny you, otherwise...automatic permit.

What do you use for a permit? You denial letter !!! ??? You go to court and force them to provide a permit...what a fun test case that would be for the wealthy gun owner. :)

Here's a twist...you don't want to go to court...just use the denial letter for your pemit...that would be the smartass approach :D

Joel's line of "how much justice can you afford" applies.

So, no permit or no denial in 30 days means you are a permit holder for 5 years...they have blown their opportunity to deny your permit.

It won't happen. They delay to day 30 as a game. If they're going to deny you, they know it earlier than that, and will make sure to tell you ahead of time.

Even if you get the card you are still not guaranteed your permit for 5 years. It may be revoked if you ever become ineligible. So in your scenario you would have a permit for one day. After they deny you are ineligible until you win the appeal.

Not all revocations are immediately effective. Some require court action.
