At what point could we expect that instructors will show up at the range wearing clown shoes and carrying a "gun" that drops a satin banner with the words "Bang" embroidered on it?

I have the impression after reading all of the posts to this thread that the range qualifications regime has an average similar to the range qualification scene from "Armed and Dangerous", with half the instructors having a program above that average and half below that average.

While I was more than pleased with the level of instruction I received (no, I care not to divulge, but thanks for asking) when I have to renew my permit in 2 years I will certainly do a lot of careful comparisons.

Nah. When Shade used his simulator, he did it in a classroom, not at the range.
