Hey guys!!
Im wondering if anyones heard of someone being approved and sent they're permit to carry but when trying to purchase theyre handgun, get denied!!? This just recently happened to a good friend of mine and I couldve swore I remembered the instructor mentioning that if you're approved for your permit to carry you'll have no problems purchasing a handgun!! apreciate any feedback/comments!! Thanks

Number 23.

He can still get denied if he fails the instant background check, (Felonies since permit was issued) or if his ID did not match the info in the permit.

Yes it can happen and does to some people. The PTC background check and the NICS purchase background check are not the same.

Usually it is cleared up with some further documentation with the NICS people. The dealer should be able to help out with that.

The most common non-issue things I have heard are other people in the system with the same name or he may have some sort of military secret clearance check or something similar.

thanks for the responses!! yeah my buddies a striaight shooter so im sure its just a big misunderstanding so he's going to appeal and take it from there!! Hopefully its just a small mix up because it would suck to have gone thru the whole process only to get denied! lol!
