Authorities in St. Cloud say a teenager shot at a pick-up truck that hit one of his relatives.

It happened Thursday night just before 11:30 a.m. Police were called to a report of a man being hit by the truck. The 33-year-old victim was taken to the St. Cloud hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.

Police say the driver of the truck drove away from the scene of the crash. A 15-year-old relative of the victim apparently had a gun and fired at the truck as the driver sped away.

Police are still looking for the vehicle which is described as a late 1970s or early 1980s model pick-up with large tires and a light rack. The crash happened in the 1000 block of St. Germain Street East and the driver was seen headed west toward Highway 10.

Anyone with information should call police.

15 yr. old carrying a gun? Oh my...

Yeah, thinking about that scenario, it would be tempting to pop off a few shots at someone who just ran over my loved one, but uhhh......not very legal.

Well, "apparently had a gun" could mean the teen and the older victim were just walking back from being out shooting gophers or coyotes or something and the teen was carrying his rifle. It doesn't automatically mean he had a pistol on him. Not saying it isn't so, just offering an alternative that isn't so 'oh my'.
