If you go here: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/pubs/ you can look up all the statutes. With each statute, you can click the PDF link on the right, then save the PDF file to your computer then move it to your phone, or both.

Here's a good start.

MN Statute 624.714 PDF

I've been thinking about making it into an android app....

Problem is then I would have to do 609.66
then I would have to do 624.7181

I don't have the time to keep them all updated...

But if there's enough interest, I could try doing just 624.714 for the peeps here.

I would say just grab a fuctional PDF reader, and the documents as TMan describes. Easiest way to get them. *shrugs* Developing an app for it seems like a waste of time.

can you have the app access the state websites and when it detects a change, throw something on the app stating something may have changed? Or even import the change?

I'm not a programmer, so I have no idea.. I'm a sysadmin, not a programmer :)

Then you have to pay to be in the market.. android lets you install apps that aren't in the android market, and if you want to be in the market, its cheaper and not as restrictive.

I don't buy into Steve Jobs' version of reality. I'm beginning to think that in his world the sky is purple with pink polka dots...

Android rocks.
