Police have sent out a crime alert warning parents and kids to be aware of an attempted abduction that happened Tuesday night in Shakopee.
Authorities say a 13-year-old girl was walking by herself down the sidewalk on Marshall Rd. near 11th Ave. around 6:45pm when a Hispanic male jumped out of a car and attempted to grab her. The girl was able to fight him off and run away.
Police are now looking for two suspects described as Hispanic males in their 20-30s. The driver is believed to be around 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a muscular build and a heavy accent. The passenger is described as having short black hair.
They were driving an older, white, two-door car with a visible dent on the passenger side door.
Anyone with any information is encouraged to call police.
