Long time daily lurker, it's time to jump in.
I was in Home Depot in Duluth the other day and I noticed a guy wearing a long shirt, untucked and his holster and gun were in plain site. (The shirt being accidently tucked behind his holster) I thought about saying something but decided against it. Did I do the right thing?

Probably. I've got mixed feelings about the wisdom of open carry, but it's not illegal. And, for that matter, even if it was, you're not a cop.

I might ask him if it was intentional. Assuming there was a conveinent way to do it without drawing additional attention to it.

Of course maybe it was a fashoin statment, like rolling up one pants leg? He untucks a shirt, then pushes it behind the holster.

As a guy, I have a moral duty to let another guy know if his fly is unzipped (quietly, unless he's a friend, in which case I must razz him). It's just part of the unwritten guy code.

Likewise, if it were me, I'd appreciate a fellow gunny letting me know my gun was showing.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I would want someone to let me know.

I agree, just a friendly mention that something is showing would be nice. It may have been an accident, in which case he will fix it. Or it may be his way of openely carrying.

Next time you see that you could walk up to them and say, "your carry's open".
