My family and I are going to be in the cities next weekend and we'd like to go to one of the zoos. We've never been to either one, so any recommendation on which one people like best would be great.
Primary question is if either of these zoos are posted. I can't find anything online on either site.
Thanks for any info you have.

Ah, Thanks!
As some said in that post, I didn't realize the MN Zoo was State owned...should have dawned on me to look into that angle. I believe the Como Zoo is privately owned though.
But after looking into it, it looks like the MN Zoo would be a better zoo with more attractions.

I'll be at the MN Zoo tonight to see Batman 'Dark Knight' on their IMAX screen. I'm looking forward to it and I'll be wearing my new rig from Srigs.

Try to get a seat in the middle of the row. They're double wide so you don't have your gun hitting the armrest.

Check out the new Grizzly exhibit at the Apple Valley Zoo. It is very good. I carry at both Como and AV all the time. No problem.

Carry something really big. The tiger cage looks mighty flimsy.
I just got back from the MNZoo an hour ago. The griz exhibit is cool. The timber wolves, however, look like POWs. My kids made me sit through the birdshow.
I carried. Nobody noticed. On an interesting side note, I'm learning how to use public restrooms without too much trouble. I mean, due to my carry piece. I don't have a history of "public restroom trouble." It's just that the gun made it awkward for a while.

I hear a wide stance helps but you want to avoid tapping your feet

Como is a short afternoon trip. The MN ZOO is an all day trip. I like them both. We live near Como and have a family+ membership at the MNZOO.
choosing just one: Mn Zoo
Concealed is concealed, never been a problem for me.

plblark:
Most helpful. We'll only have a few hours on Saturday, so may go to Como instead since MNZoo sounds like it would be something we should plan on the entire day.
Appreciate all the info!

Who was your carry instructor? You mean he didn't give you the hands on time in his class? Thats what you get when you take buget class

Thats what you get when you take buget class I was in the room when he took the class, actually, and the instructor did cover that issue, and gave him a book that covered it, too.
And, no, I wasn't the instructor; I was just another student, making (a small amount of) trouble for the instructor.
