I think these are pretty rare at gun shows.

Wow, and just when I was thinking of selling one of my guns at the show.

Personally, I was thinking about a signed receipt, description and at least writing down their DL info. This should be enough info in case the police come knocking at my door one day, since I am the first owner.

Even if I were to sell it to a dealer, I would expect to get some type of receipt from the dealer with basically all of the same info, except a business address would work as good as the DL info.

Be there on the first day and show up early. The good deals WILL be gone by sunday.

My experience has been that most of the good deals are gone before the doors are opened to the general public. Dealers buy and swap amongst themselves during set-up .. I've seen the same gun bought and sold two or three times before the show even starts.

Yet if you're very lucky.. or able to haggle like a Turkish rug merchant .. you may be able to go home with a firearm at a fair Blue Book value.

Hmmm... that's an argument for getting together with a few friends and renting a table.

You wouldn't be the first or last to rent a table for that reason :D
