Anyone here have a Sub-2000? I am quite interested in the idea of a carbine in 9mm that uses the same magazines as my G17 does. I also like the idea of a rifle that folds down for transportation like that.

If anyone has one locally, could you fill me in on the:
-reliability
-accuracy
-recoil (I think my wife might like a 9mm carbine)
-cost (where did you get it at???)

Thanks in advance.

I got to try one at the range a few weeks ago. It has the crappiest trigger you could ever imagine -- a 3-mile takeup, and a 20-lb break over a 16th of an inch.

That might be a slight exaggeration, but not much. It's a neat form factor, but truly awful to shoot.

I'd rather have one than a Hi-Point carbine, but that's not saying much. Want a good carbine? Get a Storm.

There is no way I am buying a storm. For that much money, I will buy a 9mm upper for my AR, thank you very much.

Now I guess I have to go research whether or not a trigger-job buff-and-fluff is doable at the kel-tec owners group forum.

Thanks for the input guys.

If you own a glock or a 1911, try a mech tech conversion, you simply add your frame to the upper and you have the same grip, trigger pull and everything you like about your handgun, in a carbine.

I forgot the URL....... www.mechtechsys.com

We have a couple on the wall currently at Bill's North. They are not bad shooters at all and the recoil is nothing at all. I put a couple magazines down it so I did not have a ton of time to get into the accuracy part of it. Cost on it ...I would say to be safe between 300-340?

They are great because you can fold it up and it will fit in your range bag very comfortably :D
