As if there aren't enough of the gun forums around, here is another new one. It does have a feature that could be nice for you Ipod owners. It has a PodCast of Gun related issues. I don't have an Ipod or a clone, so I can't receive them. It does allow postings for gun sales & trades with a caveat or two.

For the record, I posted TwinCitiesCarry.com link over there as "my local forum". No grief.

I believe then latest version of Apple's Quicktime comes with Itunes which I believe will play pod casts on your PC.

Hell, I barely have enough time for the assorted forums, shooting, chores and the like. Pretty soon, I'll have a job, at least for the summer.

Congrats on the job!
As for the gun forums; TCC and minor attempts to read GlockTalk are all that I can handle!

Yep, all phpBBs look alike even the ones that don't have firearms as a main topic. I will have to admit the skin (graphics look and feel) is really nice, for some reason I like the color gray alot.

Yup; what he said. Other than mild customization -- like the logo, courtesy of Pakrat -- I haven't made any attempt to modify the default look. It's functional, and it works for me.

I guess you could start a movement to have Joel change the primary colors to bright green and orange.

phpBB is popular. I use it for afew forums I run.
Its popular, fairly powerful, and most importantly, its free
With a gun forum, how many areas can you have that others won't want? Its tough to be completely original on anything.

And, per bugtraq, it tends to have a significant number of security holes. Please make sure you keep your copy updated.
