Yesterday I got an email from Cabela's telling me my order of small pistol primers ordered on 4/22 have been back-ordered until 6/30!
Does anyone out there know if anyone has any for sale? I have been patient but am now growing concerned since I am completely dry.
I am heading to the cabin (near Grand Rapids) for memorial day if anyone knows of any secret spots up north.

Nope.
My guess is you won't see much until they can keep the shelves stocked with loaded ammo. They are using all the primers themselves right now.

I work at Federal on the CF primer assemblies. In the next few months we are probably going to double our commercial primer output (adding machinery and staff). I would think the scarcity of primers should be somewhat affected by the addition of several million a week.

Can't help the OP, but Ahlman's has large pistol in... at the low, low price of $39.99.
Oh, and there's a 1,000 primer limit.

Checked out a few places up north with no luck on primers, but was happy to see the L&M Fleet in Grand Rapids had a very good supply of ammo. Almost everything except 380's.

They sure did. I picked up 40 and 357 JHP for a very good price.

Got this email a few minutes ago:
Quote: Hello Patrick, Per your request for notification, we received the following: CCI Small Pistol Primers #500 Box of 1000 (10 Trays of 100) Supplies may be limited and are first come first serve. Don’t wait until they’re gone.
Of course access to Midway.com is blocked here at my horrible totalitarian workplace. So if somebody places an order today, I'd be happy to split the hazmat fee.
UPDATE: Well, they had them for something under a half hour, I'm told. Ah well.

does anyone know where I can find some small rifle primers? It is getting too expensive to shoot .223s anymore, especially on a college student income

Cabela's has changed part of my primer order from BO to "processing." They had Magtech SP primers in stock last time I looked on the website. They are supposedly shipping me Magtech and CCI SP primers. If I indeed get them I will cacel my BO for Fed and Win so other people can get them.

I have never used Magtech primers, are they similar to Win.? I use a lee progressive and they say not to use Remington or Federal but nothing either way about Magtech.
