Being the straight-walled pistol reloader armed with carbide dies, I've always skipped case lubing as unncessary.

After about tearing my shoulder off loading some new nickel .41 Mag brass yesterday, I gave some Hornady One-Shot a try. HOLY CRAP! What a difference!!

I gave it a try on a dozen or so new cases and it was like I wasn't resizing at all, the reduction in effort was quite amazing. I've always felt a touch of stiffness in new nickel brass (a lot of .44 Special was the worst, worse than the same maker's .44 Mag brass), but these .41 Mag cases were awful.

Mob -

Here is what I do

I take all of my cases in a shallow rubbermaid container - shoot em with One Shot - Stir - Shoot em again - let dry then reload - makes the 650 run smooth

Hornady One shot is a dry wax that will not dingle up your powder and primers.

It helps to start with clean cases.....
