Hopefully this is different enough from "Pistol while hunting" to warrant its own subject.
What kind, if any, backup handgun do you carry while deer hunting?
What is your holster situation? Especially if climbing stands, walking through deep brush.
Me...Taurus Tracker .357 mag and holster is a Maxpedition bag.

Very good question. I'll just be using my SGH Clip Tuck. I only plan to use it for plinking and kill shots (:cry:) so pulling it from under a few layers shouldn't be a problem.
I wish I had a synthetic flap holster that secured and covered most of the gun.

I usually hunt with a handgun and don't carry a second one. On those rare occasions when I carry a rifle, I sometimes carry a .44 mag snub in a Simply Rugged pancake holster.
