I had a old Ruger Carbine that I bought from one of my old bosses back when-- condition was that if his son ever wanted to buy it back it would go-- Well I made a few $ and the gun is gone
So how is the new carbine, price, how does it shoot, etc and the big question are there any after market magazines that say hold ten rounds vs the 4? I can't find anything on the net so will assume they don't exists but one could hope--

Bill Ruger said you don't need 'em so that's all you get.
Seriously though, it is a rotary magazine. I don't think they could make a bigger one without totally redesigning the gun.
Nifty little gun, though. The original "Thumper".

I couldn't find the 44 magnum autoloader on the Ruger web site. Has it been discontinued?
I always thought it was a neat rifle too. Both the old and new designs. Except for the plastic forearm cover on the new design.

Thanks Guys -- I just thougt it would be neat and serve two functions: hunting and a short range defense riffle

Are we talking about the 44 mag that looks like a 10/22?
If so I was looking to see if they made bigger mags for it a while back and found something on youtube where the guy manufactured some 9 round mags for it. Otherwise ive seen nothing.

Thanks -- That would be the one-- It woukld be neat if Ruger would figure out that they could have two markets maybe going for this rifle if they would only make a ten round mags for it-- Hunting and defense-- Yes I know maybe not the best for either but it would sute be just fine for both applications

They also had a .44 lever action that looked very similar (except for the lever)

From the author in YouTube comments:
Quote: I have tryed to make them cheap enough to sell but they are made from two differnt factory mags. Add the price of the 2 mags + the work required + postage + exchange rate, they would cost way to much!!! sorry
Bummer.
