Need a small game license for gray squirrel and raccoons. Limit of 7 gray squirrel per day, possession limit 14. No limit on raccoons.

Snakes?

Squirrels and Racoons are covered under the Small Game license pg 43 of the hunting regulations book.

I'd call and ask the question as a hypothetical for FUTURE use.

From the MPD suggestions on Predator encounters:

Please don't shoot me, Mr. Predator.
Here, take what you want.
I'll just lie down right here and cooperate.

Haha...

Looking again I see some blood around the mouth - either a gut shot or lung?

A few inches below the white in the front of the neck. It was standing directly facing me. The bullet entered high in the neck and ended up under the right shoulder blade.

I shot 15 pheasants in South Dakota the first half of last week, then a button buck on Friday afternoon. Two deer came running across my line of site about half speed. This one paused just long enough for me to line up a heart shot.

I'll be going back out to SoDak the first weekend in Dec for more pheasant.

I was the only one in my group to even see a deer this weekend; I got a quick glimpse at a buck as I was going back to the cabin either just at or right after the end of shooting hours.

On the other hand, I did get adopted by a kitten.

Today, what with all the hiking up and down and around, I'm sore in places I'd forgotten I had... but I'm glad that I went; it was, despite all that, a good time.

It must have been a sympathetic kitten.

The places that one forgets they had are the ones that remind us the loudest that they haven't forgotten us. Unfortunately I know this from personal experience.

Saw one of the largest deer ever.........big bodied and at least 12 pt at 3 AM Sun morn.

You guessed it ..............in the city. On Larpenter just west of 120. Talking with several LEO's who have seen him (in the spotlight) he is at least 14 pt.

Never see them in the woods that size

I got a good healthy walk in the woods.

I got a good look at a beaver, an otter, and a few grouse.

I got to support the Minnesota DNR to the tune of $27.

I got not even a glimpse of Bambi.

Oh, well. A bad day of hunting, it turns out, is better than a good day at the office.

I'm afraid mine was a real downer.

First season --

Had to work one day, got the flu the next day, spent Sunday in bed.

Two bucks taken by the rest of the gang. Racks nothing to brag about, they'll make good rattlin' antlers, but the deer were big.

Second season --

Had to work 3 of the 4 days. Didn't see anything yesterday.

Usually I can count on sittin' by the creek and watching the mink play. Didn't see mink or anything else. Except squirrels.

Muzzleloader season is next. And this coming weekend squirrels will transformed into chile.
