I assume this is directed at Joel or maybe Andrew.

If you are looking for a response from us regular users, we need more information.

If you look at your profile you will see it where your website was.

Now I understand, and I mean understand.

I have reported some new users myself to management, they are spam with adult web links, new super cleaners links, how to stay young web links, etc.

These are not forum members, just spamers that are latching on to this forum. I personally think that when a new user signs up and has one of these junk web links, they should be divorced from the site, end of story.

Yes, I see what you mean, it says that in my profile, but my web site link is available.

Maybe management is in the middle of an update or a policy change?

I agree, but they do make the user base look larger though...

The only Spam I like (and I say "like" loosely) is the Hormel kind.

It's been acknowledged and will be worked on in the near future.

That would be what we in the computerizing biz call a "bug."

In this case, it's one I introduced. I'll try to fix it today.

You must be new at this computer thing. ;)

We call that a feature, and if you don't like all the features then you get to pay to have them removed!

Andrew;

Just to let you know, The way things are now is better than the way they were. If you can't fix the "Feature" (I won't rush you) I think you should leave it as is. :)

So is (User is too new or too inactive to show web site) maybe going to be fixed???

It is not a big issue, but I like to check in on the new members and see what they maybe have for a profile and web site. I am really glad that some of, if not all of the spam web site get a link to one of Joel's (THE MAN) web sites.

Just checking in and not a big deal, but I think a few of us are curious.

Andrew's been busy, and the fix isn't easy or obvious.

That said, while we do need to tune it some -- so that websites of all of the real members who have specified one do become visible -- not being a major target for spammers has removed a real headache.
