I just got home and added the haul up.

$286 in cash

2 checks:

1 for $100
1 for $10

14 toys

The $100 check is made out directly to Toys for Tots, so I sent an email to the local coordinator asking who to forward it to. I have a pm sent out to Moby Clarke, whose wife works at Target, to possibly use her employee discount when buying the toys. I will update here when the toys are purchased and again when they are delivered.

Thanks to everyone for their generosity.

I'm still thinking someone shows up at KARE11 for the toy drive with 300 red ryder bb guns.

Thanks Reaver3 for grabbing ahold of that and running. It was great to have everyone donating so much, and I was really heartened by how many people stepped up to the plate to help out. Everyone showed a great deal of class with the donations. Thanks you!

I showed up just as you left, Jeff. I got some funny looks carrying around a Hunter Dan crossbow in the bar. :D

I still have it if anyone can swing by Bill's to pick it up .. or I could bring it over to KARE-11. PM me if either of these work?

Moby Clarke and I met at Target tonight at 5:00. Using his wife's discount, we managed to purchase $305 worth of toys, concentrating on the upper end of the age group, as that was what the Marines said they needed most. I then delivered the toys to the pickup at Lifetime Fitness on 98th Street in Bloomington.

I think I broke their container :D

Ahh, screw it, I can't figure out how to get a picture up, I just threw a copy up on my blog. You can view it there if you wish.

As soon as they get in touch with me, I will forward the $100 check that someone put in the bag, as it is made out directly to Toys For Tots.

Thanks to everyone for their generosity.

Outstanding. Thank you to Reaver and Moby. It was a good feeling to see people so willing to give to others less fortunate.
