I do not remember seeing anything in the law that it was required to do annually or everytime that a permit holder renews every 5 years. I will try to get some answers on Tuesday.

Well folks, my name has magically disappeared off of the list of people that have notified the Capital Security and can carry on capital grounds. I had sent the letter in, called and verified that I was on the list back in April/May of 2006.

So if some of you have sent the letter, you may want to call and see if your name is indeed still on the approved list.

What do they call this list, or is it just "the list".

"within any courthouse complex or in any state building"

This sounds to me like inside a building, but do we know if they interpret it to mean on the grounds? On the steps?

I checked with Sgt. Parker via email, and he said I'm still on the list.

Strange that Cobb's name was removed.

Sgt. Parker is a good guy- his email is Mike.Parker@state.mn.us .
