Bachmann calls for allowing gun ownership in public housing, causing Maxine Waters to have a cow.
Way to go Michelle!

Ms. Bachmann is lucky that the 'fashion police' didn't spot her wearing that outfit! Damn that's fugly!
Now, onto my thoughts about this...
If they (public housing tenants) want a gun, legal or not, they'll get one.

Wow... Common sense I like it!
Ms Water needs to go pound sand. I think she will want to take away peoples first amendment rights so you can't argue about 2A rights.

First of all, giving anybody anything is stupid. When you earn something you have more respect for it. We've learned that public housing HAS NEVER WORKED for the masses. People have no pride of ownership, and are simply *not* going to take care of it like they would if they did.
Secondly, the federal government sure did create and may well *own* these cesspools of poverty, but *WE* (as in all U.S. citizens) will decide how it is run. THANK YOU MICHELE BACHMAN!
Socialism is proving once again to be a disease.

Michele Kicks ass and is one of a tax payers/gun owners' greatest friends is the house right now.
She was in the third most contested race in the country last time around. She's higher on that list this time. Soros and his moveon(dot)org henchmen have her marked.
She needs our support in getting the word out, campaigning and fund raising.

Sent to Michele and CC'd to my reps, BCC'd to all my friends and relatives:
Quote: To: Michele Bachman I urge each of you getting this email to view the You Tube video of this exchange… it is very enlightening. Dear Michele, First, thank you for serving us as a representative. I appreciate your commitment to pursue your beliefs and support the values and morals of our state. I hope it is rewarding and I hope you feel a sense of accomplishment throughout your career as a politician. Lord knows, I would be frustrated beyond logic long before I could be effective in that arena! Thank you for standing up and speaking on behalf of gun owners rights in DC (reference YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljrxkN535tc ). I appreciate it, and I must say I am appalled by the speech given by Maxine Waters in response. It does however clearly point out the problems with *GIVING HOUSING AND WELFARE* to people. Through government funded laziness we’ve created these cesspools of crime and poverty, and now we are reaping the rewards. As Ms Waters pointed out, proponents of public funded laziness believe the government OWNS public housing and therefore has a right to dictate terms to its tenants. Sounds like socialism to me. I thought we were a Republic? Yes, I am a capitalist fiscal conservative who believes in free markets, tax reform, reduced government, and personal liberty and I am available to discuss my opinions any time!

totally agree. the line reverend something or other waiting to get in front of the cameras would stretch a--round the project to denounce them as a bigot who doesn't think the poor soles living there are capable of following the law

I would LOVE to see Michele Bachmann become Governor of MN.

Pretty well says what she thinks of the low income people who live there, and vote for her, regardless of race. And the tenants actually would have clean records, or they either couldn't get in or would get kicked out of subsidized housing. They would make great victims, so there's probably lots of problems with people who do not live there.
It never even occured to me that there would be a federal rule against low income people possessing guns in subsidized housing until I heard this. However the OPPONENTS were so startled they had to be told not to interupt her.
Can't have stray bullets from the projects endangering the folks driving to the Mall, I guess.

I've alway felt that public housing projects have been a test tube for social engineering. However it does happen that some people do get down on their luck and need some help for some period of time to allow them to get back on their feet. I don't believe they should lose ANY of their civil rights simply because they have financial difficulities.
Imagine the outcry if free speach or voting rights were denied because they live in public housing. But 2A rights........well thats a different matter.

How about sending Maxine back to school to understand that the Federal Government operates UNDER the constitution, not above it.
