CSPAN has the oral arguments scheduled from 10:30-12 central. They're filling time with germane albeit frustrating discussion instead of just covering the House.

Fascinating, but yes, frustrating.

Here's the Washington Post article the folks on C-span were discussing:

Gun Battle at the White House

so, Carl admits he thinks the court will come down Individual right and the fight will be over standard of review. Then he goes tot he Overthrow Tyranny and throws out WMD, Machine Guns, etc...

Though I disagree with some of the NAACP guy's comments, he's at least throwing out the hyperbole.

David Kopel is finally warming up. He seems to do well in heated discourse, more so than in his opening statement.

Interesting how they have 2 anti's and one pro on this show. The other anti is John Payton, President and Council from the NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund, playing the race card.

I don't know the history of how 2A has been applied to blacks, and I'm sure there have been grave injustices there, but the fact he seems to ignore is that NO ONE is currently suggesting that 2A should be applied in any way other than a color-blind way.

Yup. I don't think it's fair; the two antis are seriously, err, outgunned.

The ACS is pretty much the liberal answer to the Federalist Society.

Take a look at their more famous members:

wow .. Kopel got the NAACP guy to admit the racist roots of gun control and that guns in the home have been used to defend against attack.

Carl and NAACP are focusing on "gun related" while we all recognize that firearms lower ALL crimes by giving the intended victims an avenue of effective self defense.

I wonder if the SCOTUS is going to transfer the hearing to a smaller room...

Yes, while doing so, John Payton (NAACP guy) seemed to argue both sides. It was unfair for whites to have guns and not blacks. Yet, now seems to be proposing that it would be fair for criminals to have guns but not the general public.

Regarding the call-in portion...CSPAN really should screen the callers better.
