Insightful reporting.

Quote:
Some residents fear the shootings are part of a Minneapolis gang war. Police are still investigating. They do not have any suspects in custody yet.

As usual, the police neither deterred nor stopped the crimes. But, they did draw nice neat chalk lines around the bodies and take lots of photographs and measurements.

Now they wait for some banger or wannabe to start bragging. That's the only way they catch any of these guys.

Gun laws are, of course, totally irrelevant to people who sell and transport cocaine and meth for their "day job."

Somewhat off topic, but is anyone else tired of the poor writing in news stories?
Quote:
Someone squeezed off a bullet at a school bus, but no one was hit.
What does that mean?
Did someone shoot at someone on a school bus? or did they just shoot at the bus? Was the bus hit? or did someone see them shoot at the bus?

Perhaps they just squeezed a bullet between their fingers and flicked at the bus?

Why do journalists write articles that leave more questions unanswered than answered.

because if they wrote, "gunshot heard by those on city bus" which is the basis for this report, no one would get interested enough to read anymore.

I thought the passage of the stand your ground bill was supposed to allow gang bangers to kill people. Since it didn’t get out of committee how could this happen? At least that was what some very irate women were claiming that sat around me. I guess they may be wrong. Stopping the bill changed nothing.
