I've noticed from watching a couple of videos that people who choose not to listen to police officers ordering them to relocate seemingly jump at the slightest hint a police horse would like the person to move.
I'm surprised PETA wasn't protesting the use of police horses (they instead were protesting for a tax added to all meat sold).

Do you suppose there is mutual respect betweem the people and the horses, but not between the people and the police?
Some of the people protesting probably can identify with the horses....
