I met this local holster maker at Bill's at the spring shooters show and his holsters looked very exotic and expensive. I was impressed the craftsmanship of his holsters although I don't know if I want to drop the $$ on a really fancy holster.

I've seen some of the pictures; I'm not sure he's quite figured out the whole hand boning thing as of then; maybe his newer stuff is more impressive, or priced accordingly.

I saw him a Bill Show too. I wasn't wowed out of my pants from what he had at his table, but I took a card just in case...

Sure. Remember, srigs' first holsters were good, but not nearly as good as he's gotten.

He goes by Vlad and posts primarily on MNGunTalk. You can find some of his stuff At Bill's Robbinsdale and Wolf's Den.

Just met up with him at Wolf's Den to pickup up a holster for my new 1911. Less than a week turnaround, by the way! To be fair, he did have it roughed in prior to me looking for one...but he said he tries to keep a week or so turnaround whenever possible.

I'll try to get some pics soon, but I'm very, VERY happy. Nice and sturdy, fits the gun like a glove, and looks EXTREMELY nice (even my wife likes it). The price and turnaround were both amazing.

The pics on his site don't give an accurate impression, IMO.

Here's one he did for me last week. One-piece King Cobra skin and head for my Colt King Cobra. It's completely over-the-top-awesome and I really couldn't be happier.

Selurcspi called it tacky. Maybe that's a compliment where he comes from?
